Opportunities

Opportunities let you advertise volunteer roles, positions, and experiences to young people on Impactful. Unlike activities (which have a structured completion flow), opportunities are listings that direct young people to learn more or apply.

Accessing Opportunities

Navigate to Opportunities in the sidebar to view and manage all your opportunity listings.

Creating an Opportunity

  1. Click Create Opportunity
  2. Enter the opportunity details:
    • Title — a clear, descriptive name for the role or opportunity
    • Description — what the opportunity involves, who it is for, and what young people will gain
    • Type — the kind of opportunity
    • Link — an external URL for more details or to apply (optional)
  3. Click Create

Your opportunity is saved as a draft until you publish it.

Note: Your organisation profile must be complete before you can publish opportunities. See Setting Up Your Organisation for guidance.

Tips

Tip: Write opportunity descriptions that clearly explain what the role involves and what young people will gain from it. Include time commitments, skills they will develop, and any requirements.

Tip: Keep your opportunity listings up to date. Unpublish or delete opportunities that are no longer available to avoid disappointing applicants.
