Creating Ideas

Not sure where to start making an impact? The Ideas feature uses AI to generate personalised activity suggestions based on your input. It is a great way to discover new ways to contribute to your community.

How Ideas Work

When you create an idea, you provide the AI with details about what you want to do. The AI then generates a tailored activity suggestion based on your input. Each idea is designed to be achievable and meaningful.

Creating a New Idea

To generate a new idea:

1. Open the Ideas section from the Home tab
2. Tap the Create button to open the idea creation sheet
3. Fill in the details to guide the AI:
   • Causes — select the cause areas your idea should relate to
   • Beneficiaries — choose who the activity should benefit
   • Duration — set how long the activity should take
   • Instructions — add any specific guidance or context for the AI
4. Tap Generate to create your personalised idea

The AI uses your input along with your profile details to produce a relevant and actionable suggestion.

Tip: The more specific you are with your input, the more tailored the idea will be. Try selecting a specific cause and adding detailed instructions for the best results.

Browsing Your Ideas

Each idea card shows:

• Title — a clear name for the suggested activity
• Description — what the activity involves and why it matters
• Estimated time — how long it should take
• Cause area — which social impact cause it relates to
• Location — where to do it, if applicable

Scroll through your ideas to find ones that interest you. The list loads more suggestions as you scroll, so there is always something new to explore.

Tip: If you see "All Done" at the bottom, you have viewed all available suggestions. Create a new idea with different inputs to generate fresh suggestions.

Saving an Idea as an Activity

When you find an idea you want to take on:

1. Tap the idea card to view the full details
2. Tap Add to My Activities or the save button
3. The idea is now added to your personal activities list

You can find saved ideas in your Home tab under the My Activities sub-tab, filtered by the Ideas type.

Completing an Idea Activity

Once you have saved an idea, completing it follows the same flow as any other activity:

1. Open the idea from your Home tab
2. Follow the suggested instructions
3. Tap Complete when you are done
4. Submit any required evidence
5. Earn your Impact Coins

Generating More Ideas

If you want fresh suggestions:

• Create a new idea with different causes, beneficiaries, or instructions
• Update your interests or bio in your profile to change the types of suggestions you receive
• Check back regularly as the AI can generate new ideas based on seasonal events and trending causes

Tips for Better Suggestions

• Be specific with instructions — adding context about your skills, location, or goals helps the AI tailor its response
• Select relevant causes — choosing the right cause areas ensures the idea aligns with what matters to you
• Choose beneficiaries — specifying who you want to help gives the AI more direction
• Try different combinations — experimenting with various inputs can surface surprising and rewarding ideas

Note: Ideas are generated by AI and are suggestions only. You are always free to adapt an idea to suit your situation or skip it entirely.
