Introduction

The Home tab is your personal hub for everything you are involved in across the Impactful app. It is the first tab in the bottom navigation bar, sitting alongside Discover and Messages. From here you can see activities in progress, upcoming events, and the organisations you belong to.

At the top of the screen you will find the app header, which includes the Impactful logo, a Calendar button, and your Profile button. These controls are available throughout the app, but they are especially useful when reviewing your impact.

Impact

The Impact sub-tab is the default view that loads when you open the Home tab. It gives you a snapshot of your current engagement at a glance.

Happening Now

This section displays any activities or events that are currently in progress. If you have joined an activity and it is underway, it will appear here so you can quickly pick up where you left off.

Coming Up

Any activities or events scheduled to start soon are shown here. This helps you prepare for what is coming and ensures you do not miss a deadline or event date.

Get Inspired

Below your activity summaries you will find a Get Inspired card that encourages you to discover new activities and opportunities. Tap it to jump straight to the Discover tab and find your next activity.

A Resources carousel highlights up to 3 resources relevant to you. These might include guides, toolkits, or other materials shared by your organisations. Swipe left or right to browse them.

Activity Segmentation

At the bottom of the dashboard your activities are broken down by type. The three categories are:

  • Ideas -- creative proposals and suggestions you have contributed.
  • Events -- structured events you have registered for or attended.
  • Informal -- informal activities you have logged outside of organised events.

This segmentation makes it easy to see where most of your effort is going and where you might want to get more involved.

My Events

Tap the My Events sub-tab to see a focused view of the events you are connected to. This tab shows every event you have registered for or joined, along with its start date and end date.

An Upcoming Events list highlights events that have not yet started, so you always know what is on the horizon. If you need more detail about a specific event, tap on it to open the full event page.

Tip: Check the My Events tab regularly so you do not miss any registration windows or last-minute schedule changes.

My Activities

The My Activities sub-tab gives you a complete list of every activity you are part of, organised by status. You can filter and review activities that are active, upcoming, or completed all in one place.

Pledge-Based Activities

Some activities require you to make a pledge before participating. These are clearly marked so you can track your commitments and follow through on the promises you have made.

Informal Activity Tracking

Not every contribution happens inside a formal event. The Informal activity type lets you log actions you take on your own, such as volunteering in your community or working on a personal project that aligns with your goals.

Tip: Logging informal activities is a great way to capture impact that might otherwise go unrecorded. Every contribution counts.

My Orgs

Tap the My Orgs sub-tab to see a list of every organisation you are a member of. From here you can view organisation details, browse their activities, and stay connected with the groups that matter to you.

If you are a member of multiple organisations, they will all appear in this list, making it simple to switch context and see what each group has on offer.

Using the Calendar View

Tap the Calendar button in the top header to open a calendar view of your scheduled activities and events. This view lays out your commitments across dates so you can plan your time effectively and spot any clashes before they happen.

The calendar pulls in data from all of your sub-tabs, so it includes events, pledge deadlines, and any other time-sensitive activities you are involved in.

Tip: Use the calendar view at the start of each week to get a clear picture of what is ahead and prioritise your time.

Tips for Tracking Your Progress

  • Review your dashboard daily. A quick glance at the Impact sub-tab tells you what needs attention right now.
  • Keep informal activities up to date. Logging these promptly ensures your impact record is accurate.
  • Watch the Coming Up section. It helps you stay prepared without feeling overwhelmed.
  • Explore the resources carousel. The materials surfaced there are chosen to support your current activities.
  • Use the calendar for planning. It is the fastest way to see your full schedule at a glance.
